First Group of Prisoners Released Under New Amnesty
As Thailand Bail wrote about in the previous news post on the amnesty for prisoners in Thailand (they will be moved to the Bang Kwang Prison 2021) we can confirm that prisoners who were eligible under this amnesty are no starting to be released. For example, the first group of prisoners, including foreign prisoners and Thai prisoners, were released at the end of August as part of the first group. All prisoners in the Thai prison system must go through a 2-week training course before being released.
Thailand Bail can confirm that many prisoners were released after passing the training program at Bangkok Remand Prison, which is next to Klong Prem Central Prison, as well as the Women’s Correctional Institute and Bam Bat (the drug case prison). We have been getting many requests from people whose relatives or friends are going to be released as part of this 2021 amnesty.
Thailand Bail has decades of experience assisting with early release, amnesty, pardons, as well as parole for both Thai and foreign prisoners. If you have a family member who is awaiting release from a jail or prison in Thailand, contact Thailand Bail for more details about the process. Our lawyers and case managers will be able to quickly provide information about the process of release from Thai jails and prisons.
